Short version: Football Owner has no user accounts and stores your game saves only on your device. We do not run our own servers and collect no personal data directly. The App can show rewarded video ads through Google AdMob, but only when you choose to watch one — if you never watch an ad, no advertising data is ever collected or shared. In-app purchases are optional and handled by Apple. Details below.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Football Owner mobile application (the “App”) handles information. The App is provided by Sommer Ventures ApS (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Denmark. By using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
None. The App has no sign-up or login. We do not ask you for your name, email, phone number, or location, and we operate no servers or databases that store information about you. We do not collect usage analytics.
The one exception is if you choose to contact us: when you use the in-app feedback form or email us, your message is composed in your own email app and sent to us. We then receive your email address and whatever you write (and optional non-personal diagnostics such as the App version and your in-game date). We use this only to read and respond to your feedback.
Your game progress (saved careers) is stored only on your device, in the App’s private storage area. We have no access to it. If you use Apple’s device or iCloud backup, your saves may be included in that backup under your own Apple account, governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy — not by us. You can remove all local game data at any time by deleting the App.
The App offers optional rewarded video ads, which you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards. These ads are served by Google AdMob. Advertising data is collected and shared with Google only when you choose to watch a rewarded ad: the App requests an ad, and starts the Google ads software, solely at that moment. If you never watch an ad, the App makes no ad requests and shares no advertising data with Google. When you do watch one, Google and its advertising partners may process data such as a device or advertising identifier; location information (usually approximate, inferred from your IP address — a partner may request more precise location, which is used only if you opt in through the consent prompt); and device and ad-interaction information. Where a consent prompt is shown, it lists the specific Google advertising partners that may receive this data.
We request non-personalized ads from Google, meaning ads are targeted using contextual information rather than a profile of your past behaviour. Google may still process limited data for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregate reporting, and fraud/abuse prevention. For details, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. On iOS you can limit ad tracking system-wide under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising.
Where consent is required in your region (for example in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), the App presents Google’s consent prompt before any ad is shown, and requests an ad only if you agree. If you decline, no ad is shown and no advertising data is collected. Like the ads themselves, this only happens when you choose to watch a rewarded ad.
The App offers optional in-app purchases (consumable in-game “funds” packs). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card number or full billing details; Apple handles payment and shares only the anonymous confirmation the App needs to deliver your purchase. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal bases are: consent, where it is required in your region — in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland the App presents Google’s consent prompt before any ad is shown, and you may decline; our legitimate interests in funding and operating the App through the optional, non-personalized advertising provided by Google; performance of a contract for processing related to in-app purchases; and our legitimate interest in responding to you when you contact us for support. We do not use personalized advertising or cross-app tracking. If you decline ad consent where it is required, no ad is shown and the associated data is not collected.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold no account or profile about you, most requests concern correspondence you have sent us. To exercise your rights, or to raise a concern, contact us at hello@sommerventures.dk. EU/EEA, UK, and Swiss users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority (in Denmark, Datatilsynet; in the UK, the ICO; in Switzerland, the FDPIC).
This section applies if you live in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, and Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and others). It supplements the rest of this policy.
In the past 12 months, the App (through Google, our advertising provider) may collect these categories of personal information: identifiers (a device or advertising identifier), internet or other electronic network activity (ad interactions and app-usage signals), approximate geolocation (inferred from your IP address), and device diagnostics. We collect these only when you choose to watch a rewarded ad, for the purposes described above (serving non-personalized ads, measurement, analytics, and app functionality). We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we have no user accounts.
We do not “sell” your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (we request only non-personalized ads), as those terms are defined under California and other U.S. state laws. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Because we do not sell or share, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" action for you to take, but you may still contact us with any request.
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know/access the personal information collected about you, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@sommerventures.dk; we will verify your request by corresponding with you (we hold no account to identify you by) and respond as required by law. You may use an authorized agent where your state allows it. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. California residents may also contact us for the categories of information described above.
If you are in Canada, we handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial laws, including Quebec’s Law 25. You may access or request correction of personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent, by contacting hello@sommerventures.dk. As explained above, we keep no accounts and no server-side profile, and we request only non-personalized ads. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to your provincial regulator (in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information).
We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. Game saves live on your device and are removed when you delete the App.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. We request non-personalized ads. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
